FlyA (Switzerland) (Geneva) has indefinitely postponed its plans to launch low cost flights to various European and North American destinations after it failed to secure adequate financing in time for its planned Summer 2013 launch. According to AeroTelegraph, airline founder and CEO, Julian Cook, said prospective investors had turned "cautious" but that talks were now ongoing with others in order to secure the CHF190million (USD206million) in funding needed to get the project off the ground. Once financially sound, FlyA will reportedly launch with three B767-300(ER)s connecting Europe and North America with London, Paris, New York, Miami International, Boston and Montreal having thus far been mentioned as potential launch destinations.
