Titan Airways (ZT, London Stansted) will soon cease offering BAe operations after its last remaining aircraft of the type, a BAe 146-200 G-ZAPK (msn 2148) and an ARJ-100 G-POWF (msn 3373), will be withdrawn for service. The former is destined to become VH-SJF with Skyforce Aviation (Sydney Bankstown) in Australia while the latter is to go to North Cariboo Air (NCB, Fort St. John) in Canada. G-ZAPK, the first jet aircraft to join Titan, was acquired in 1996 and became the backbone of the carrier’s steadily growing charter fleet. In its seventeen year career at Titan, together with four subsequently acquired BAe 146s, G-ZAPK enjoyed a varied role, from carrying VIP passengers, including members of the British Royal Family, to transporting Royal Mail. Titan intends to replace the aircraft with younger, more efficient machines such as the A320-200.
