easyJet (London Luton) has applied for a licence to operate flights to and from Guernsey, the BCC has reported. The LCC has reportedly applied for traffic rights " so they can look at all the options and decide if a route is commercially viable." easyJet acquired London Gatwick slots belonging to flybe. (2002) (Exeter) earlier this year and has announced plans to fly from Gatwick to Jersey. Flybe. itself will cease their own Guernsey flights effective March 2014. The States of Guernsey Commerce and Employment Department is set to rule on the application in the coming weeks.
