easyJet (London Luton) has announced that it plans to base two of its A319-100 aircraft at Naples Capodichino from spring 2014 making the Southern Italian city its third Italian base after Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino. easyJet will introduce new routes to Brussels National, Catania, Hamburg, Kerkyra and Mykonos from Naples, its second new base already announced for 2014 following a similar announcement regarding Hamburg earlier. The British low-cost carrier currently serves Naples from Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg, CH, Berlin Schönefeld, Bristol International, Edinburgh, Geneva, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Milan Malpensa, Nice, Paris CDG, Paris Orly and Venice Marco Polo. While Naples is not a base yet, easyJet already has one of its Milan Malpensa based A319-100s overnighting in Naples each day now.
