LTA - Linea Turistica Aereotuy (Caracas Simón Bolivar) has expressed an interest in acquiring four parked SBA Airlines (Caracas Simón Bolivar) ATR42-300s, all of which are currently stored at Caracas Simón Bolivar. While no official confirmation on the pending move has been issued by LTA thus far, sources familiar with LTA's maintenance operations have confirmed that preliminary inspections have been carried out of late. In addition, a Conviasa (V0, Caracas Simón Bolivar) ATR72-200, YV2422 (c/n 486) has also undergone checks though it is uncertain as to what interest, if any, LTA has in the aircraft. LTA operates a single ATR42-300 alongside a Dash 7 on a largely Venezuelan network with Aruba its only foreign destination.
