Tristar Air (Cairo International) is to resume operations following the return of its sole aircraft, an A300B4(F), SU-BMZ (c/n 129), from a C Check at Cairo International with Egyptair Maintenance. Reliable sources in the Egyptian capital state that the cargo specialist's first route will be a twice weekly Cairo to Brussels National service. Established in 1998, Tristar offers both ACMI and ad-hoc charter services. It is owned by the Messeh family with Sobhy Abd El Messeh holding a 98% controlling stake and Sabry Botros Messeh and Fortunee Botros Messeh each holding a token 1%.
