Douniah Airlines (Bamako) has not launched operations for the time being after an ATR72-200, EC-LNP (c/n 285), on lease from Spain's Helitt Líneas Aéreas (Malaga) was transferred to Burkinabe startup, Colombe Airlines (Ouagadougou). While it is uncertain as whether the airline had actually operated any flights, it had planned to offer flights from its hub in Bamako to Conakry, Dakar Yoff-Léopold Sédar Senghor International, Lagos, Malabo and Libreville Leon M'Ba. According to sources in the Malian airline industry, Douniah has yet to receive an air operator certificate. The start-up did not respond to ch-aviation requests for comment.
