Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG, Dhaka) will according to a report by the Daily Star, from 2014, use its own aircraft to ferry Hajj pilgrims to and from Saudi Arabia following the recent Kabo Air (Kano) debacle in which the Nigerian carrier's B747-400, 5N-MDK (msn 26878), faced various difficulties in obtaining rights to operate to the Middle East by the Saudi authorities. Airline chief executive Kevin Steele also added that 2x weekly flights to Yangon, suspended since 2006, will resume in December. The route was scheduled to have resumed in November but was postponed owing to an equipment shortage.
