Air Onix (Simferopol) has had two of its leased B737s repossessed by the International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC). Records show that B737-300 UR-KRA (msn 28873) is currently at Kyiv Igor Sikorsky while sister ship B737-500 UR-KRC (msn 26323) has been flown from Simferopol to Shannon. The resultant shortage of aircraft has reportedly lead to some delays and cancellations at the Ukrainian carrier. The international lessor had issued grounding notices on September 9, 2013 after Ukraine assented to the Cape Town Convention on aircraft-property rights. At the time of going to press, neither Air Onix nor the ILFC has issued an official statement on the seizure and have not responded to requests for confirmation.
