Garuda Indonesia (GA, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) unveiled a new sub-brand, "Garuda Explore", following the induction of the airline's first of thirty-five ATR72-600s, PK-GAA (cn 1119), on Monday, November 25, 2013. The Explore brand will officially launch on December 3, 2013, with a single all-economy class cabin serving various short-haul point to point flights, and flights between hubs and spokes including Denpasar to Labuan Bajo, Ende and Bima, as well as from Makassar and Ambon to destinations in those regions. The Explore brand will operate alongside Garuda's other sub-brand, "Garuda Explore Jet", which launched in October 2012 using the carrier's growing fleet of twelve CRJ1000s on flights throughout eastern and western Indonesia.
