TACV - Cabo Verde Airlines (Praia) could be taken over by Okay Airways (BK, Tianjin) as the Chinese carrier looks to broaden its global reach to include Africa, South America, Europe and the United States. According to Cape Verdean newspaper, A Semana, an Okay Airways delegation jointly toured the archipelago's airports alongside representatives from TACV and state airport company Aeroportos e Segurança Aérea (ASA). ASA chairman, Mário Paixão, said "We are fully open to cooperating with Okay should they choose to settle here in our country. We would do business with them as we do with any other company that visits the Cape Verde." Thaanks to its ideal geographical position, TACV is able to operate an extensive trans-Atlantic network which connects Boa Vista Rabil International, Boston, Dakar Yoff-Léopold Sédar Senghor International, Fortaleza International, Praia, Milan Bergamo, Lisbon, Paris CDG, Sal Amilcar Cabral International, São Filipe, São Vicente and Vila do Maio.
