Boeing (BOE, Washington National) has confirmed reports of a LAM - Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (TM, Maputo) order for three B737-700s due for delivery in 2015, 2016 and 2017 respectively. The order, valued at USD228million at list prices, includes purchase rights for three additional Next-Generation 737s. Reports out of Mozambique claim the carrier had also studied the A319-100 as a potential contender. LAM - Linhas Aereas de Mocambique currently operates flights domestically and regionally, across southern Africa with a fleet that currently includes B737-500s and two E190s.
