Nok Air (DD, Bangkok Don Mueang) will place an order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for an undisclosed number of B737 MAX aircraft at next week's Singapore Air Show. Quoting sources close to the airline's operations, Bloomberg newswire says the deal could number as many as 28 aircraft valued at between USD1.5 and USD3billion. Whether the aircraft will be entirely sourced from the US manufacturer or from lessors remains to be seen. A largely domestic operator, Nok Air operates fourteen B737-800s and two ATR72-500s.
