Garuda Indonesia (GA, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) is in talks with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) over the planned acquisition of more A330s reports Bloomberg. The airline currently operates eighteen of the type. Quoting unnamed sources close to the talks, the newswire says the order could number as many as ten twinjets. The Indonesian national carrier is also considering either the A350 or the B787 for its long-haul fleet. Last year, Garuda announced plans to grow its fleet by 200-250 aircraft between 2015-2025 to meet demand in one of the world's fastest-growing aviation markets. The airline intends to operate a fleet of 350-400 with an average age of six years by 2025.
