Philippine Airlines (PR, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) has refuted recent press reports claiming the carrier had abandoned plans to establish Cambodia Airlines (Phnom Penh). "By way of response to the Exchange, we wish to clarify that on-going preparations for the completion of the contemplated joint venture agreement between Philippine Airlines, Inc. and Inter Logistics (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. relating to Cambodia Airlines Co. Ltd. are currently being conducted," the carrier said in a filing to the Philippine Stock Exchange. The project, which was to have been concluded by the end of last year, has dragged on as a consequence of recent social disturbances.
