Lion Air (JT, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) and various other operators are set to resume operations out of East Java after the Indonesian Ministry of Transport reopened several airports in the region that were affected by the erupting volcano, Mount Kelud. Among the major centres that have reopened to flights are Surabaya, Malang, Semarang, Yogyakarta Adisutjipto, Cilacap and Solo City. Mount Kelud is one of 130 active volcanoes in the South East Asian nation, which sits along the "Ring of Fire" volcanic belt in the Pacific Ocean.
