Susi Air (SQS, Jakarta Halim) is planning to acquire ten more aircraft this year as it moves to expand its network. Announcing the airline's latest financials, CEO Susi Pudjiastuti said her airline would spend USD50million in buying buy six single-props and four twin-prop aircraft this year in a bid to increase its passenger numbers by 10%.

According to the Jakarta Times, financing is to come from Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) and Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI).

“I want to make citizens of our archipelago feel as if they live in one continent, instead of thousands of scattered islands. I want to show them it’s easy to travel using our service,” said Pudjiastuti.

Susi Air is one of the world’s largest operators of Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft. It currently operates a diverse fleet of 49 aircraft including the Piaggio Avanti, the PC-6, the Agusta Grand A109S & AW119Ke, the Diamond Aircraft DS42 Twin Star, as well as the Air Tractor AT802. The airline serves over 165 destinations throughout Indonesia, from the most western part of Aceh province to the most eastern part of Merauke in Papua.

Susi offers scheduled commercial flights, block seat flights as well as scheduled, ad-hoc and long-term charters.
