Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) is studying both the Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) A380-800 and the Boeing (BOE, Washington National) B747-8 ahead of a potential order Chairman Hamdi Topcu told CNN Turk.

The Turkish mega-carrier is already believed to be in talks with an undisclosed airline to wet-lease four A380-800s for use on its Chinese flights this coming Summer.

Turkish's long-haul fleet currently includes fifteen B777-300(ER)s, fourteen A330-300s, six A340-300s and eleven A330-200s.
