MAYAir (Cancún) is looking to secure its own Air Operators Certificate (AOC) in order to expand its domestic Mexican services. Commercial director, Carlos Martinez, told CNNExpansión that its reclassification as a scheduled operator would allow it to serve flights from Cancún and Cozumel to Poza Rica, Tampico and Matamoros.
Currently, it operates an air-taxi service between Cozumel, Cancun, Merida M. Crescencio Rejon, Villahermosa, and Veracruz using Do228s.
