Amerijet International (M6, Miami International) will base one of its three B767-200(F)s out of Columbus Rickenbacher, OH from July 7 as part of the freight specialist's plans to develop the airport into a hub.
The freight specialist has signed a long-term lease agreement with Rickenbacker Airport for a 20'000 square foot facility which includes five loading dock doors.
“Amerijet's dedicated B767 freighter service will provide our customers with additional options for expedited and heavy weight domestic freight. We believe this product fills the need for select services once the mainstay of companies such as Clear Skeyes, Kitty Hawk Air Cargo (Fort Wayne International), Emery Worldwide (Dayton James M. Cox) and other all cargo carriers who did not survive the economic turmoil of the last decade," Amerijet’s Pamela Rollins, SVP Business Development said.
A logistics provider, Amerijet operates five B727-200(F)s and three B767-200(F)s with land, sea and air connections to over 600 destinations worldwide in the Americas, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
