Goldstar Airlines (Accra) is a Ghanaian start-up intent on entering the international market with flights from its Accra hub to the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil and China beginning in early June.
In partnership with tour operators Seasons Travel & Tour International, the start-up plans to offer 2x weekly flights to Baltimore International and London Gatwick beginning June 13. A weekly service to Guangzhou is also planned while in a bid to exploit demand for flights to Brazil during the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup, services to Natal Aluizio Alves are scheduled to begin on June 14.
The type of operational equipment to be used on the flights has yet to be revealed though the airline's website does point to a B747-200.
