Libyan Wings (YL, Tripoli Mitiga) has signed long-term lease agreements with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd. for two A319-100s, due for delivery later this year. According to Libyan Wings CEO Edgardo Badiali, the carrier is planning to launch operations during the third quarter.
DAE Managing Director Khalifa H. AlDaboos said: “We are delighted to provide these aircraft to Libyan Wings to launch their airline and commence their operations."
The Libyan start-up also has a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for three A350-900s and four A320neo.
