Network Aviation (NWK, Perth International) will operate Fokker 100 charter flights between Perth International and the Western Australian mining town of Newman with effect from June 9, 2014. The flights are operated on behalf of parent, Qantas (QF, Sydney Kingsford Smith), which recently secured a three year initial term contract with global mining giant, BHP Billiton, to provide services to its Jimblebar iron-ore mine, located 41 kilometres east of Newman.
Acquired by Qantas in 2010, Network Aviation operates Western Australia's largest fleet of Fokker 100 aircraft with twelve aircraft currently on its books.
