Costa Airlines (Maracaibo) will launch its first flights in August using three CRJ200s the start-up's managing director, William Ascanio, has said. According to Ascanio, initial services will cover Maracaibo to Caracas Simón Bolivar and Porlamar with Maturín, Barcelona José Antonio Anzoategui, San Antonio del Táchira to be added later.
In the medium term, regional flights to Aruba, Curaçao, Santo Domingo Las Américas, Medellín José Maria Córdova, and Barranquilla are planned while in the long term, the ambition is to serve Peru, Ecuador and Brazil.
