PEOPLExpress (Newport News) will commence a 3x weekly Charleston, WV to Orlando International service effective October 16. The route marks the start-ups first non-Newport News denominated route.
“We continue to fill gaps in air service with new non-stop flights and low fares people have been asking for,” airline CEO, Jeffrey Erickson, said. “In Charleston, we see a strong market that has lost service following airline consolidation – and that’s a great niche for us.”
At present, the Vision Airlines (United States of America)-affiliated carrier operates one B737-400 on flights from Newport News to Boston, New York Newark, Pittsburgh International, St. Petersburg/Clearwater, West Palm Beach International, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson, and New Orleans International.
