WestJet Encore (WR, Calgary) signed a firm order with Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) for five Dash 8-400s in late July the AINonline newswire has reported. With the order, the WestJet (WS, Calgary) subsidiary's overall Q400 order book now amounts to thirty.
Alongside thirteen operational Q400s, the added turboprops will be used to boost the carrier's expansion into eastern Canada out of its Toronto Pearson base.
