Air New Zealand (NZ, Auckland International) will retire its last remaining B747-400, ZK-NBV (msn 26910), from revenue service on September 10, 2014. The aircraft's last revenue flight will be from San Francisco to Auckland International. Air New Zealand has begun replacing the type with newer, more cost-effective B777-300(ER)s.
Air New Zealand's remaining long-haul fleet currently consists of six B767-300s, eight B777-200s, six B777-300(ER)s and one B787-9.
