Transaero Airlines (Moscow Vnukovo) has announced it will temporarily suspend its Moscow Sheremetyevo operations for the duration of the upcoming winter 2014/15 season as a result of renovation works to the airport's northern areas.
"The project to develop a new Terminal B and a terminal-to-terminal tunnel are being carried out as part of the preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The airline and the airport plan to resume their cooperation in the future," Transaero said in a statement.
During the period, Transaero has said it would continue to operate out of its other Moscow hubs - Moscow Vnukovo and Moscow Domodedovo - as per normal. During the 2014-2015 fall-winter schedule, Transaero will offer 59 routes from Vnukovo and 49 routes from Domodedovo.
According to the ch-aviation route database, Transaero's Sheremetyevo entails flights to Enfidha, Hurghada, Larnaca, Rhodes International, and Sharm el Sheikh.
