FlySyria (Damascus) is a Syrian start-up backed by USD3million in initial funding. The director of the Syrian Tourism Company, Nasser Qaidaban, told the country's state newswire, SANA, that the airline intends to offer scheduled flights using a fleet of "two passenger planes and one freighter" initially.
Another start-up, Kinda Airlines (Damascus), had planned to launch its own regional operations in tandem with Jordan Aviation (R5, Amman Queen Alia) in May this year.
