China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) has signed an agreement with Dutch lessor, AerCap, for the lease of twenty-four Airbus A320neo family aircraft. The aircraft, which comprise A320/A321neos sourced from AerCap's order book with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac), will be equipped with PW1100G-JM engines and are scheduled to be delivered to China Southern between 2016 and 2019.
As part of the deal, AeroTurbine, AerCap's after-market subsidiary, has also agreed to purchase four older aircraft from the Chinese carrier for disassembly and parting out.
China Southern currently operates forty A319-100s, 120 A320-200s, and seventy-five A321-200s.
