Skyjet Airlines (MSJ, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) has been acquired by Thunder Air Aviation, Inc., a division of the Solar Group of Companies whose other interests include television, hotels, casinos, automotive, food and real estate.

The Manila Bulletin reports the buyout was recently approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP}. SkyJet's previous owners included Dr. Joel Mendoza and former Cavite City Vice-Mayor, Dino Reyes Chua.

Using a single BAe 146-100, SkyJet offers full service flights between Manila Ninoy Aquino International, Caticlan, Kalibo, Baler and Basco with Busuanga to debut later this month.
