Camair-Co (QC, Douala) has taken delivery of two MA-60s originally ordered from Xian Aircraft Company (Xi'an Yanliang) in 2011. China's WCARN news portal states the duo was handed over to the Cameroonians at a ceremony held in Xi'an Xianyang on March 6. The first of the turboprops was delivered to the Section Liaison Air Yaoundé (Yaoundé Nsimalen) in late 2012 and is used for law enforcement.
In 2012, the Xian Aircraft Company expressed a strong desire to establish a technical base for the maintenance of all its aircraft operating in Africa in Cameroon.
Currently, the type is in service with several African operators including SN Air Congo (Brazzaville), Zambian Air Force (Lusaka), Air Zimbabwe (UM, Harare International), Air Burundi (Bujumbura) (inactive), Force Aérienne du Djibouti (Djibouti), and Massawa Airways (Massawa).
