Malev (Budapest) has resumed twice weekly B737-600 service from Budapest to Beirut. It will lease an ex-KLM (KL/Amsterdam) B767-300ER as of next year and is also planning to add two more aircraft of the same type until 2009 to add new long-haul routes. Four bidders, the parent companies of Kras Air (7B/Krasnoyarsk) and flyLAL (TE/Vilnius), a group of Malev pilots and a Hungarian-Irish investment group, have submitted bids for Malev in the latest privatization process. Malev has temporarily suspended its Budapest-Podgorica route, it will resume three times weekly CRJ-200/Fokker 70 services between the two capitals on March 11.
