flybe. (2002) (Exeter) has signed a lease agreement with Singapore-based lessor Avation involving one new ATR72-600 which will be delivered toward the end of the year. The turboprop will join four other ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) aircraft the British carrier plans to operate on behalf of SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup).

“Flybe has established a strong relationship with Avation PLC," Flybe CEO Saad Hammad said. "This helped to secure the new contract for a fifth ATR 72-600 aircraft for expanding our white-label relationship with SAS, Scandinavia’s largest airline."

Beginning in October, Flybe will deploy its ATR72s on flights from Stockholm Arlanda and other Scandinavian capitals, to short-haul destinations in Europe for SAS.
