Titan Airways (ZT, London Stansted) is to shift one of its three London Stansted-based A320-200s to London Gatwick for use on flights to Banjul, Gambia beginning later on in winter this year.
Operating in partnership with tour operator, The Gambia Experience, the flights will operate up to 3x weekly from mid-October 2015 up to the end of April 2016.
Gambia last saw direct scheduled flights to the United Kingdom through the now defunct Gambia Bird (Banjul) subsidiary of Germania (Berlin Schönefeld). The carrier's demise has been blamed, in part, on the devastating effects of the 2014 Ebola Outbreak which severely affected West Africa's tourism industry.
Thomas Cook Airlines UK (Manchester International) will also serve Banjul from Birmingham, GB, London Gatwick and Manchester International as well.
