Indonesia AirAsia X (IDX, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) has entered the domestic Indonesian market with the launch of multiple daily flights between the capital, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta, and the tourist mecca of Denpasar on Bali. According to AirlineRoute, the longhaul LCC's service replaces two out of eight daily return flights currently operated by affiliate, Indonesia AirAsia (QZ, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta).
Until now, the AirAsia (AK, Kuala Lumpur International) subsidiary had only operated internationally offering flights to Melbourne Airport, Taipei Taoyuan, and Jeddah International on-board its fleet of two A330-300s.
