United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) has launched a new wholly-owned ground-handling subsidiary named United Ground Express (UGE). UGE will provide airport ground handling services – including customer service, station operations, and ramp and cargo services – at select second- and third-tier airports across United's domestic network.
It will not, however, be present at any of United's mainland US hubs which include Chicago O'Hare, Denver International, Houston Intercontinental, Los Angeles International, New York Newark, San Francisco, and Washington Dulles.
United Ground Express will roll out operations this autumn at select stations, and will also provide ground handling for United's new service to and from Kalamazoo, Michigan, starting December 9.
