LC Perú (LCB, Lima International) will shortly take delivery of its maiden Dash 8-400 - cn 4036 - Skyliner Aviation has reported. The former SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup) turboprop, still registered as N689AC ahead of its transfer to the Peruvian registry, has been parked at Great Falls in Montana after a planned lease to another Peruvian operator, Servicios Aéreos de los Andes (Lima International), fell through earlier this year.
Previous reports have indicated LC Perú will use a pair of Q400s to bolster its fleet ahead of its expansion into South America during the course of 2016. While it currently operates five Dash 8-200s primarily on domestic Peruvian flights, LC Peru recently acquired a trio of B737-500s with plans to three B737-200Advs as well as a pair of B737-900(ER)s which will be used for flights to North America.
