After it reached an agreement with pilot union VNV, Transavia Airlines (HV, Amsterdam Schiphol) has has confirmed it will establish its first base outside the Netherlands in Munich with effect from March of next year.
Using a fleet of four B737-800s, the Air France-KLM Royal Dutch Airlines budget subsidiary will phase in flights to eighteen destinations across Europe and North Africa between March 25 and May 31 of next year. Destinations to be served include Brussels National, Copenhagen Kastrup, Faro, Pisa, Palma de Mallorca, Marrakech, Naples Capodichino, Porto, Venice Marco Polo, Sevilla, Dubrovnik, Bari, Palermo International, Bologna, Catania, and Valencia Manises.
Though the Dutch LCC does not currently serve the Bavarian capital, sister carrier carrier Transavia France (TO, Paris Orly) does offering daily return flights to Paris Orly.
An eleven times weekly B737-700 service linking its Dutch base in Eindhoven with Munich will start on February 19 already.
