Malaysia Airlines (MH, Kuala Lumpur International) has said in a statement commenting on its second quarter revenue figures that it was considering ordering additional A350-900 for its long haul fleet renewal.

MAB is scheduled to take delivery of four A350-900 from US lessor Air Lease Corporation starting from October 2017. Having recently retired its last B777-200(ER), its passenger widebody fleet currently consists exclusively of Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) aircraft, fifteen A330-300s and six A380-800s.

MAB further said that it has been able to renegotiate lease rates for its current fleet to be in line with market rates and its business plans.
