Fly Blue Crane (Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) says it will inaugurate international operations on Friday, May 13 with scheduled return flights between Cape Town International and Windhoek International, Namibia.

“The time was right for us to introduce this route in the light of the growing tourism and business ties between the two countries, as well as the fact that many people travelling to the region want to combine South Africa and Namibia," Fly Blue Crane Chief Commercial Officer, Theunis Potgieter, said.

Records show that aside from an application to operate flights to Swaziland and Mozambique, Fly Blue Crane has also applied for rights to serve: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, La Reunion, Seychelles, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Using a pair of E145LRs wet-leased from Solenta Aviation (SET, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo), Fly Blue Crane currently connects Cape Town International, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo, Bloemfontein, and Kimberley.
