Express Airways (Slovenia) (Maribor) has delayed the planned launch of scheduled flights between Maribor and Düsseldorf on the back of low demand.
Slovenia's Večer reports the carrier secured just fifteen bookings ahead of the April 28 inaugural. As such, those that have booked will now be flown with other carriers from/to Graz, Austria.
The carrier is in the process of resecuring its Slovenian AOC and has plans to lease a B737-300, SX-BDU (msn 28873), from World Star Aviation. In the interim, Saab 340A SP-MRB (cn 100) has been chartered from SkyTaxi (Poland) (TE, Wroclaw) to cover its operational requirements.
