LTU International Airways (Düsseldorf) and its new parent Air Berlin (AB/Berlin Tegel) have announced plans for their future joint operations. LTU will operate all of its medium haul A320-200 and A321-200 aircraft on behalf of Air Berlin and transfer all of its European services to its parent. LTU services from Dusseldorf to Fort Myers, Los Angeles, Miami and New York JFK as well as planned new long-haul services to China (Beijing and Shanghai Pu Dong) and India (Delhi) will also operate under the Air Berlin brand while the LTU brand will continue to be used for leisure services to Africa, Asia, Canada and the Caribbean. LTU will temporarily suspend its Dusseldorf-Los Angeles route this winter season and give up its Dusseldorf-Las Vegas services on October 25.
