Norwegian (Oslo Gardermoen) has announced it will open a base at Palma de Mallorca, its seventh in Spain, later this summer. The LCC says it will use a pair of B737-800s to expand its domestic Spanish and regional European operations from the airfield.
Among Norwegian's plans for Palma are: the launch of new flights to Barcelona El Prat and Madrid Barajas locally as well as the increase in existing services to Stockholm Arlanda and Gothenburg Landvetter in Sweden, Copenhagen Kastrup in Denmark, and Oslo Gardermoen, Bergen, and Stavanger in Norway between June and August.
Norwegian's other bases in Spain include Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Alicante, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife Sur.
