Comlux Aviation (Zurich) says its VIP airline division, Fly Comlux, has signed an aircraft management contract with Crystal AirCruises (CYT, Los Angeles International) for the operation of their incoming VIP-configured B777-200(LR), P4-XTL (msn 40955). The contract was announced during the EBACE tradeshow in Geneva earlier this week.
The former Air Austral (UU, St. Denis de la Réunion) aircraft is currently at Victorville where it is undergoing reconfiguration to accommodate eighty-eight guests with flat-bed first class seats as well as a lounge and bar. It is expected to enter service for Crystal AirCruises in 2017 using the AOC of Comlux Aruba (CS, Aruba).
Once in service, the twinjet will be used to fly Crystal AirCruises customers on high-end exclusive luxury tours around the world.
As recently reported, Crystal AirCruises is remarketing its VIP-configured B787-8 owing to a change in business plans.
Sister firm Crystal Luxury Air (Los Angeles International) also employs a Global Express executive jet which is operated by Corporate Flight Management (Smyrna).
