Sichuan Airlines (3U, Chengdu Shuangliu) has signed a firm order agreement with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for seven A320-200 (sl)s and eight A320neos. No delivery dates were disclosed and it is believed the order is still subject to Beijing's approval.
China Aviation Daily reports the deal was signed last week during a visit to Airbus's Toulouse headquarters by a delegation lead by Sichuan Airlines Chairman Li Haiying.
The China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) subsidiary operates an all-Airbus fleet including twenty-three A319-100s, forty-eight A320-200s, and twenty-eight A321-200s as its narrowbody fleet.
