Alliance Airlines (QQ, Brisbane International) has signed contract extensions with South32 covering service to the Perth-based mineral and extraction firm's Cannington and Gemco mines for a further three years.

The Australian operator has been providing Fly-In/Fly-Out services to Cannington, a silver, lead and zinc mine, 200km southeast of Mount Isa, Queensland, since 2006 and Gemco, a high grade manganese ore mine on Groote Eylandt Island off the Northern Territory coast, since 2009.

Alliance Airlines has now renewed eight FIFO contracts in the last twelve months as well as winning the Santos contract for the Cooper Basin and a weekly service for Toll Services to Christmas Island.
