Vanilla Air (Tokyo Narita) will begin 5th Freedom flights out of Taipei Taoyuan later this quarter ch-aviation analysis of schedule data has revealed.
Effective September 14, the Japanese LCC will operate a daily Tokyo Narita-Taipei-Ho Chi Minh City return service using A320-200 equipment.
The move is part of the ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) subsidiary's previously announced plans to develop the Taiwanese capital into a strategic focus city.
At present, Vanilla Air operates nine A320-200s on regular flights to Amami, Okinawa Naha, Sapporo Chitose, and Tokyo Narita locally. It also connects Narita with Kaohsiung, Taipei Taoyuan, and Hong Kong International; and both Okinawa and Osaka Kansai with Taipei Taoyuan.
