Azur Air Ukraine (Kyiv Boryspil) is still a unit of Russia's UTair Group despite an announcement last year that the leisure operator had been sold to undisclosed interests.
Russia's Aviation Explorer news reports the carrier is still listed a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Russian conglomerate. A review of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine's (SAAU) list of certified operators also reflects the carrier's continued links to UTair.
Turkey's Anex Tourism Group (ATG) claimed to have completed the purchase of UTair-Ukraine (Kyiv Boryspil) in October last year for an undisclosed sum. This was, however, never confirmed by UTair itself.
At present, Azur Air Ukraine operates three B737-800s, leased from AerCap, on charter flights to resort destinations in the Mediterranean.
