Volaris Costa Rica (Q6, San José Juan Santamaría) expects to complete all regulatory requirements with the DGAC and the Costa Rican Civil Aviation Technical Council (Consejo Técnico de Aviación Civil - CETAC) during the last quarter of this year. Thereafter, it will offer regular services to various Central American and Caribbean destinations such as Guatemala City, Managua, San Salvador International, and Panamá City Tocumen International.
Rival start-up Air Costa Rica (San José Juan Santamaría) is also on track to begin operations in November of this year. As previously reported, the Air Panama (7P, Panamá City Paitilla) subsidiary is currently in the process of finalizing flight permits with authorities in Guatemala for its planned Guatemala City service. Other destinations include: San Salvador, Managua, Bogotá, and Miami International.
